Paris Is Still Chic & Slim

Our Chic & Slim Special Correspondent Kat has recently been in Paris. From there she sent the following email:

Dear Anne, At the close of a lovely day here en famille, I can confirm that Paris is still chic & slim. Not even an overweight tourist !(Do they ban them? Are they too embarrassed to visit??) And the chic! Sorry, could not snap them for you without being spotted, so you must take my word for it. Best wishes, Kat

Later Kat did manage a surreptitious photo (see below) she sent with the caption “Paris footwear.”

Amusing to remember the years those chic French women in their 5-inch stilettos were so critical of American tourists wearing their “marshmallow shoes.” Styles change.

Over the past decade, from many sources, we are seeing the trend in Paris for more casual chic. That is good news. It makes French chic a more usable model for those of us whose lifestyles demand a casual personal style.
