Donkey Milk Body Lotion & Bath Oil

Back in France, our Chic & Slim Special Correspondent Kat ran out of bath oil. She found new oil (and a lotion) at one of her favorite French stores.

Having run out of bath oil, I paid it a visit yesterday, and the ever helpful brothers directed me to their latest products: Bath Cream and Body Lotion with Donkey Milk. Cleopatra is said to have bathed in asses milk, so why not me? I have yet to try it out, but it is sure to be lovely: all their products are very soothing and, when scented, use natural scents, such as mint and lavender. I always stock up on soap to take back to London : soaps of a similar quality are more expensive there, and quite difficult to find.

I hope I don’t live to see the day the brothers retire and close their shop. The father and daughter team who ran our favourite butcher have sold up and gone, likewise the ladies who ran the best charcuterie. As we have owned our house here for nearly 35 years, I suppose it’s only to be expected, and, thankfully, the shops don’t disappear, but seem to carry on much as before, under the new management.
