Paris Boxes

This Nouvelles was intended for yesterday. Unfortunately I forgot when I launched the download for a security update for my computer that, with my VERY slow Internet connection, I could not upload and troubleshoot a new Nouvelles while I was downloading and installing the update. That updating took ALL DAY. Alas.

But here we are on a Friday, the last day of January 2020. Brexit Day, among other notable events.

“Paris is always a good idea,” the quote is from Audrey Hepburn’s character Sabrina in the 1954 film by that name.

Several Sundays ago Karen in Rosemount emailed to alert me that in her Sunday newspaper she had seen an ad for these delightful Paris boxes at Michael’s. She had checked and they were available at the Michael’s store that is just a mile from my house. She knew I would love the boxes.

Karen was right. I do love the Paris boxes. In fact, Christmas before last, a dear friend had given me a large round “hat box” one in shades of pale pink. A delightful place to organize my favorite French things.
